Biography
American boat accident, with 844 people drowned, the steamer capsized shortly after pulling away from the dock on the shore of Lake Michigan. It had been loaded with 2500 picnickers on this Saturday morning, and problems with list, due to its top-heaviness and weight of concrete repairs, had been ignored. In too-shallow water, the badly maintained ship left the dock at 7:24 AM according to historical reports.,
