Biography
American photographer, has worked for National Geographic Society since 1970. Since then he has made his reputation as a premier photographer and often leads photography workshops. His many books include the 2008 "The Life of a Photograph."
His father was an ardent amateur photographer who taught young Sam well. He graduated in 1969 from the University of Kentucky in Lexington with a B.A.
